Welcome to Siem Reap, the provincial capital and gateway to the ancient Angkor Temples. Upon arrival, driver and tour guide of Cambodia Travel will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in.
If time permits, we visit the local school where they train the traditional Apsara Dance. We will have opportunity to learn about the Khmer Art history and meeting, talking to young dancers at their show.

Rise up early to pick up the most beautiful, haunting and spiritual moment to visit magnificent Angkor Wat at dawn. This special activity is designed also to help you see “the Temple reflex on the water” when it’s much cooler and less crowded. Angkor Wat, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was constructed by Suryavarman II who reigned Cambodia from 1113 to 1152 and built the five towers in the 12th century and dedicated them to the Hindu God Vishnu. The plan of the pyramidal conception of the temple combined with spaces, alleys and ditches is an ancient masterpiece of architectural design and construction.
For your most convenience, a table with hot tea or coffee and breakfast box is arranged by Cambodia Travel will be served in a local coffee shop nearby Angkor Wat.
Your journey continues with a visit of the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its majestic doors and artifacts. Later, visit the Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King and Takeo “Jewel of Crystal”, which is dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva and was erected at the end of the 10th century. You should not miss Ta Prohm Temple, which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty with its giant trees that have grown there for centuries.
Return to hotel in late afternoon and enjoy rest of the day at your own leisure.

After breakfast, we are taking a break from temples and going on a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South Asia and flows into Tonle River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a “floating village” – boats that have been converted to look like houses and the “village” moves from place to place according to the water levels.
Later, our guide takes you to Silk Farm. You will be guided to see the process from the mulberry bushes cultivation to the production of silk fabrics and accessories. During your visit, our local guide will give you more details on the mulberry trees, silkworm farming, cocoon unwinding, preparation of the silk threads, ikat technique (tie-dyeing of the threads) and silk weaving. We are sure that you will be impressed by the dexterity of our artisans with silk threads. The Angkor Silk Farm also features a large showroom where you can buy high-quality silk products that were made in the workshops you just visited.
Return to town center and continue to visit one of the city’s lively open markets, Psar Chass, called the “Old Market”, where you can see the locals shopping and going about their lives!

This morning, you will leave Siem Reap for flight to Phnom Penh – the vibrant bustling capital of Cambodia. Despite recent rapid changes, the city exudes a sort of provincial charm and tranquility with French colonial mansions and tree-lined boulevards amidst monumental Angkorian architecture. Upon your airport arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred then to your hotel in the city center for checking in.
In the afternoon, set out on a half day city tour to acquaint yourself with Phnom Penh’s major sites. Your visit today includes National Museum, an excellent introduction of the ancient Khmer art and civilization, and the Royal Palace, home to the royal family and the opulent silver pagoda.
Transfer back to the hotel and spend the rest of day at leisure.

Begin your morning with breakfast at hotel then continue your visit to the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious ‘Killing Fields’ of Choeung Ek, which are not to be missed. A visit to these sights provides a deep insight into the painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge.
Following lunch (on your own budget), drive about 5 hours to Sihanoukville. Sihanoukville’s white-sand beaches are some of the most pristine in all of Southeast Asia. 10 km of beach stretches the whole length of the town and with dozens of small islands just a short boat ride away, Sihanoukville makes for the perfect tropical getaway – complete with facilities for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. Upon arrival, you check in at the hotel then free to enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. Soak up the sun as you lounge on the beach or enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand.
