Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Phnom Penh - Sunset Dinner Cruise

Welcome to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s vibrant and bustling capital city. Despite its recent turbulent history, Phnom Penh’s wide tree–lined boulevards and faded colonial mansions hold an undeniable charm. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to city center.

Enjoy some free time to rest and freshen up before driving to the dock to catch the sunset cruise along the Mekong River. Savor a welcome dinner on board as you watch the sunset over the shimmering lights of Phnom Penh.

Day 2Phnom Penh City Tour

Spend full day on a city tour, visiting the capital’s main attractions. Start by learning about the Khmer Rouge and Cambodia’s recent, bloody history on a guided tour of the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the notorious Choeung Ek “Killing Fields”. Stop en route to visit Russian Market.

In the afternoon, we visit the National Museum and learn about the world’s largest collections of Khmer art, including sculptural, ceramics, bronzes, and ethnographic objects. Then, we talk the leisure walk from National Museum to riverfront, discover the neighborhood and visit the night market or watching sunset on the river. Driver and guide will take you back to your hotel later of the day.

Day 3Phnom Penh - Drive to Sihanoukville - Speedboat to Koh Rong

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel then followed by a 4 hour drive by car to Sihanoukville. With surrounding coastline of white–sand beaches and sun–drenched islands, this coastal town is Cambodia’s most happening sun–sloth destination. Drop off at the pier, you will take the short speedboat ride to Koh Rong island, the second largest island of Cambodia. Located in Koh Kong Province about 25 kilometers off the Sihanoukville’s coast in the Gulf of Thailand, the island possesses many untouched sandy beaches for tourists to explore.

Day 4Koh Rong - Free at Leisure

Today is yours! Relax and explore the island on your own leisure.

Day 5Koh Rong - Speedboat to Sihanoukville - Fly to Siem Reap

You are free until take the speed boat back to the pier of Sihanoukville, where our private car/ van waiting to transfer you to Sihanoukville Airport for your internal flight to Siem Reap, the provincial capital and gateway to the ancient Angkor temples.

Upon arrival, our local tour guide will welcome you at the airport and take you to the hotel for check in and relax in a couple of hours.

Afterward, meet your guide again at the hotel lobby for the short tour briefing followed by the orientation tour by tuk tuk – the typical local means of transportation. You’ll be driven along the main bustling streets, channel, passing by Preh Prohm Roath Pagoda, Wat Bo or Wat Damnak. Disembark at the Psar Chass, or also known as Old Market, where you’ll walk around and learn the local art of how to bargain when purchasing items. Proceed further to the most exiting Pub Street for welcome drink before heading back to your hotel.

Day 6Siem Reap - Tonle Sap Lake - Angkor National Museum - Horse Ride

This morning, head out of town and embark on a short cruise along Tonle Sap Lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a “floating village” – boats have been converted to look like houses and the “village” move from place to place following water levels. 

Later, our guide takes you to Angkor National Museum. Angkor National Museum will take its visitors through the journey back in time from the creation to the highest point of Khmer civilization. Through the use of interactive exhibits, visitors will develop a deeper understanding of customs, traditions and different beliefs of the ancient empire. A tour of the museum will be joyful for both visitors who have a good understanding of ancient Khmer civilization and visitors who do not have any previous knowledge of the ancient Khmer empire.

Finally the day trip will end with a sunset horse ride to places that are otherwise unreachable, through local countryside villages, scenic rice fields and tourist–free temple ruins, all waiting to be explored. Back to hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 7Siem Reap - Angkor Temples

For the early birds and photographers, we offer morning tours by tuk tuk for those who want to see the sunrise upon the Angkor Wat and after sunrise we’ll return to hotel for breakfast (or you can have option with packed breakfast to explore more temples).

After breakfast, our tour continues with visiting South Gate of Angkor Thom, with its majestic doors, monumental temple of Bayon facing the tropical forest and Baphuon and Phimeanakas Mountains. Later, visit the Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King and Takeo “Jewel of Crystal”, which is dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva and was erected at the end of the 10th century. You won’t miss Ta Prohm Temple, which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty with its giant trees that have grown there for centuries. On the way back to town, you will watch the sunset in Pre Rup, considered as Mini Angkor Wat.

Day 8 Siem Reap Departure

Have breakfast in your hotel and relax until the departure time. Our driver takes you to Siem Reap international airport to catch your flight home.
